1. Policy Overview & Application Scope
This Privacy Policy serves as a legal document to explain the data processing and privacy protection rules of Maison AI (hereinafter referred to as “the Application”). Maison AI is an AI-powered home interior and renovation design tool, officially released on the Apple App Store for users in the United States, European Union member states and other global regions.
The core service of the Application is to help users complete intelligent home style redesign, space optimization and decorative effect rendering by uploading personal room photos. Maison AI adopts guest mode by default, requiring no account registration, password login or identity verification. All core design functions are available to users immediately after installation. This policy complies with Apple official review specifications, EU GDPR, US CCPA and other international privacy protection laws, fully disclosing all data operation details to protect user privacy and legal rights.
2. Data Processing Scope
Maison AI strictly abides by the data minimization and non-intrusive principle. We only process data that is indispensable for providing design services and normal operation of the Application. We never actively collect any user sensitive personal privacy information. The data involved in the operation of the Application is divided into the following two categories:
2.1 User Actively Provided Image Data
To obtain customized AI renovation design solutions, users may voluntarily upload real indoor space photos through the Application. Such image materials are only used for real-time identification of room structure, space layout, indoor style and architectural details, so as to complete intelligent style matching, decoration adjustment and virtual effect rendering.
The Application does not independently identify, capture, analyze or store any potential private information in the uploaded pictures, including human faces, personal belongings, detailed residential addresses and other sensitive content. All image processing is limited to indoor space design analysis only.
2.2 Non-Private Anonymous Device Data
To maintain the daily stable operation of the Application, improve the compatibility and fluency of AI rendering on different iOS devices, solve system adaptation faults, and carry out standardized in-app advertisement display, we will automatically collect anonymous, non-identifiable device and system environment data during user use. This type of data cannot locate or identify any specific individual user, including:
- Device hardware information: iPhone/iPad device model, anonymous device identifier (IDFV)
- System environment information: iOS operating system version, system default language, device display resolution
- Macro regional information: only country and regional division data, excluding precise GPS positioning and specific city geographic coordinates
2.3 Server Relay & Log Data (Non-Private)
Our Application adopts secure server relay technology to forward partial AI computation requests to stabilize intelligent rendering services and deliver standardized advertising identifiers. We hereby make a clear privacy commitment:
First, our server is only used for real-time forwarding of AI interaction requests. The server will not cache, record, store or retain any content of user-AI communication, uploaded room photos, rendering data and task information. All relay data is transient and will be completely discarded immediately after the request is completed.
Second, the server will push unified advertising unit IDs to the client for standardized in-app ad display, and generate anonymous operation logs during service running. These logs only record generalized application usage status, operation timestamps and functional invocation records. No user personal privacy information, no image content, no identifiable individual data is included in the logs. All logs are used only for operational stability analysis, error troubleshooting and advertising service matching, and will not be used for user tracking or portrait profiling.
3. Legal Basis and Usage of Data Processing
All data processing behaviors of the Application are based on user’s voluntary authorization and legitimate service purposes. No data will be used beyond the scope stated in this policy. The specific usage scenarios are as follows:
- Implementation of Core Design Services: The indoor photos uploaded by users are transmitted to the AI algorithm system in real time, exclusively used for spatial structure analysis, decoration style reconstruction and 3D effect rendering, so as to realize the core intelligent home design function of the Application.
- Application Operation Maintenance: Anonymous device data is used for system compatibility adaptation, program crash repair, function bug fixing and operation stability optimization to ensure that the AI rendering function can run normally on different iOS devices.
- Product Experience Iteration: Through aggregated and anonymous big data statistics, we analyze the general usage habits of users, continuously optimize AI design accuracy, upgrade product functions, and improve overall user experience.
- Basic In-App Advertising Display: Anonymous device information provides basic data support for third-party advertising services to display non-personalized and generalized advertisements, ensuring the free operation and continuous update of the Application.
4. Third-Party Service Cooperation and Data Sharing Rules
In order to provide professional and high-precision intelligent design services, the Application cooperates with qualified third-party AI computing and advertising service providers. All cooperative parties have passed international privacy compliance certification, and all data interaction behaviors fully meet Apple App Store and European and American legal requirements.
4.1 AI Intelligent Computing Service
The core image analysis, style transformation and virtual rendering technology of Maison AI are supported by professional third-party AI service platforms. The transmission and processing of user image data will only be carried out after users actively upload photos and confirm authorization.
We have signed strict data confidentiality and compliance agreements with all service providers. User uploaded images are only used for the single design rendering task initiated by the user, and will not be used for AI model training, data accumulation, commercial analysis or other extended purposes. All temporary image data will be automatically cleared after the completion of the design task without long-term server storage.
4.2 Third-Party Advertising Service
The Application integrates compliant third-party advertising SDK tools. Advertising partners can only obtain anonymous non-private device data to complete normal advertising display, anti-cheating detection and macroscopic data statistics. They have no access authority to user uploaded photos and any personal private data.
4.3 No Unauthorized Data Disclosure
We will not sell, lease, trade or actively disclose any user data to unrelated third-party institutions and individuals, unless required by mandatory national laws, judicial rulings and regulatory official orders.
5. Data Storage Mechanism and Security Protection
5.1 Data Retention Rules
User uploaded indoor photos belong to real-time temporary service data. Neither the Application nor its AI cooperative partners will permanently store user original images and generated rendering results on cloud servers. After the user completes the design operation and exits the function page, all temporary image data will be automatically erased by the system.
Anonymous device operation data is only cached locally during the user’s use of the Application. After the user closes or uninstalls Maison AI, all cached data will be completely cleared without persistent backup.
5.2 Data Security Protection Measures
We adopt industry-standard end-to-end encryption technology for all data transmission links, and establish complete access permission control, data monitoring and risk early warning mechanisms. We strictly restrict the data access rights of internal staff and third-party cooperators to effectively avoid unauthorized access, data leakage, tampering and loss, and fully guarantee user data security.
6. User Privacy Rights
In accordance with the GDPR, CCPA and other international privacy laws, users have independent and complete data protection rights during the use of the Application:
- Right to Know: Users have the right to fully understand the type, processing purpose and sharing scope of their data processed by the Application.
- Right to Authorize and Revoke: Users can independently choose to authorize or refuse AI image processing services, and can withdraw relevant authorization at any time.
- Right to Refuse Advertising Tracking: Users can turn off application data tracking and advertising push functions through iOS system privacy settings.
- Right of Complaint: If users believe that our data processing behaviors violate privacy laws, they can file a complaint with local data protection authorities.
7. Apple Compliance Statement
Maison AI fully complies with Apple’s App Tracking Transparency (ATT) framework and the latest App Store privacy review rules. The Application does not implement cross-app or cross-device user tracking behavior. All data collection, AI data transmission and third-party sharing operations meet the compliance standards of European and American regional app stores.
This Application is oriented to adult users. We do not collect any personal information of minors under the age of 13, and strictly abide by global children’s privacy protection regulations.
8. Policy Update Statement
We reserve the right to update and optimize this Privacy Policy according to product function iteration, service mode adjustment, third-party service upgrade and legal policy changes. The updated policy will be published within the Application with a revised date. Users’ continued use of the Application after the update will be deemed as acceptance of the latest policy terms.
